EHLA (Extremely High-speed Laser Application) Technology

We use EHLA technology, one of the latest innovations in laser cladding. This cutting-edge machine offers unparalleled processing speeds, far superior to other surface treatment processes.

Why choose EHLA technology?

The EHLA Laserclad machine offers unique advantages that set it apart from traditional technologies:
– Exceptional processing speed
Thanks to fully automated control, EHLA increases production speeds from 0.5 to 2 meters per minute to 50 to 500 meters per minute. This means parts can be coated 100 to 250 times faster than before. – Low Heat Input
One of the main advantages of EHLA is its low heat input, thus limiting mixing with the base material and reducing the risk of deformation. This process also ensures easier post-processing, guaranteeing optimal quality.
– Corrosion Resistance
Laser cladding offers excellent corrosion resistance, thanks to a dense and non-porous microstructure. The rapid solidification of the carbide-containing layers significantly increases wear resistance, thus extending the service life of the treated parts.
– Perfect Metallurgical Connection
The simultaneous fusion of the material powder and the base surface creates a strong metallurgical bond, ensuring exceptional adhesion between the two materials.

Technical Specifications of the EHLA Laserclad

– Layer Thickness Accuracy
The computer-controlled EHLA laser width is 1.5 mm. This allows for precise control of the coating thickness, with a tolerance of a few thousandths of a millimeter, ensuring a uniform thickness that meets specifications.
– Optimized Material Consumption
The material powder is pre-melted in the laser, allowing up to 90% of the raw material to be used. This significantly reduces waste and ensures sustainable and environmentally friendly production.

EHLA Machine Applications and Versatility

The EHLA machine can process a wide variety of parts and materials, including:
– Carbide-rich steel
– Nickel-based alloys
– Paper rolls, drums, and drive rollers
– Equipment requiring thin (50 µm) or thick (> 400 µm) layers
We also offer new build and repair services, without replacing the laser or powder material, optimizing production time and costs.

Sustainability and Environmental Respect

EHLA technology is entirely computer-controlled, ensuring high efficiency while preserving the environment. No substances harmful to health or the environment are used during the process. This approach is not only innovative but also environmentally responsible, a key aspect for the industry of tomorrow.
