Diamoxide
Thermochemical ceramics Diamoxyde: The Ultra-Resistant Thermochemical Ceramic Coating Diamoxyde is a unique ceramic composite coating composed of a chromium oxide…
Our thermochemical ceramics are based on chromium oxide and offer corrosion resistance several times greater than conventional plasma spray coatings. This coating, with a hardness of 2000 Vickers and food-grade, can be deposited in bores and is ideal for wear parts.
Our thermochemical ceramics are waterproof and have no surface porosity. It is possible to create small-diameter interior coatings (min. 3 mm) and exterior coatings up to 2.5 m long and 400 mm in diameter. Placrox II and Diamoxyde expand like the base, providing thermal shock resistance up to 700°C, even when the substrate is immersed in cold water, without altering the coating’s structure. PLACROX II Process:
13 cycles to increase hardness and decrease porosity with each cycle:
1. Machining the part
2. Making a slip based on the base metal
3. Applying the slip
4. Heat treatment at 535°C
5. Alternating 6 times between impregnation and heat treatment at 535°C
6. Lapping the part
7. Alternating 7 times between impregnation and heat treatment at 535°C
8. Lapping
9. Polishing
