Silicone-based composite
Silcar® – Silicone-Based Composite Coating
Silcar® is an innovative composite coating combining carbide and silicone powders. This process uses high-pressure, supersonic spraying of carbide particles, creating an extremely hard and dense layer capable of withstanding severe abrasion and mechanical wear. The addition of silicone particles in the deposition process significantly improves the coating’s anti-adhesion properties, making it an ideal solution for mold release, particularly when in contact with tackifiers.
Benefits
– Anti-adhesive: Reduces material adhesion and facilitates demolding operations.
– Anti-abrasion: Exceptional wear resistance, ideal for harsh working environments.
– High Mechanical Strength: Excellent tensile strength and resistance to mechanical stress.
– Durability: Increases part longevity, even under extreme wear conditions.
Features
– Thickness: 100 microns, allowing for effective coating while maintaining the dimensional accuracy of parts.
– Surface Finish: Smooth, providing a glossy finish that facilitates cleaning and maintenance.
– Non-stick Properties: Excellent performance in applications requiring non-stick characteristics.
– Tensile Strength: Very good ability to withstand mechanical stress, extending the service life of coated parts.
