Carflon is a hi-tech composite coating composed of Tungsten carbide and PTFE. Tungsten carbide is projected at supersonic speed (Mach 6) by means of a HVOF device that produces a very hard and dense layer bonded to the substrate. The workpiece is subsequently impregnated with a Teflon method to achieve a non-stick surface. Roughness of Carflon is most important than our Slidcoat range of coatings but brings more resistance to mechanical shocks in an abrasive context
