Nikasil
The Nikasil is a composite coating of a metal alloy and silicon. The projection at Mach 2 at a temperature of 20,000 °, without warming the support, lets put on the substrate layer dense, very hard and quite rough. The addition of silicone provides extra anti-adhesive effect. The corrosion resistance and wear resistance is excellent in the inherent properties of the undercoat and anti-adhesive properties of the upper layer. This coating was developed for the textile industry (especially for non-woven) and hygienic (manufacturing diapers, …) but it is also used in cement or in the tire industry.
