Chemical Nickel PTFE

Treatment using chemical nickel, with inclusion of PTFE whose tribological characteristics are particularly improved while maintaining a high resistance to corrosion and wear.

An alternative way to tackle the problem of wear and friction, by embedding a lubricant, PTFE, in the nickel-phosphorus combination.

The wear and friction properties of the layer are determined by the value of the properties of both materials.

Hardness and lubrication are obtained by nickel-phosphorus combination and the low coefficient of friction, the PTFE particles.

During the deposition process, the PTFE particles which have a diameter of 0.2 to 0.3 microns, are deposited uniformly in the nickel-phosphorus in a proportion of +/- 30%.

Characteristics:

anti-static and non-insulating layer
Electrical conductivity: 130-200
Gives the part geometry regular and homogeneous layer
High wear resistance, comparable to hard chrome plating
Hardness and lubrication obtained by nickel-phosphorus combination
Low coefficient of friction with the addition of PTFE (20 to 30%)
PIN-TEF steel: 0.15 (static) and 0.10 (dynamic)

Detailed characteristics

PTFE particles of 0.2 to 0.3 microns homogeneously dispersed
in combination nickel phosphorus
Melting point: 800 ° for nickel, +/- 270 ° to Teflon
Thickness of the recommended layer: 20 to 40 microns (maximum 80 microns)
Hardness: 500-700 HV
Resistance to wear, corrosion, heat (- 240 ° to + 250 °)

Surface easier to clean because dirt does not stick
