Type of deposit
Chemical Nickel
Chemical Nickel is a technical deposit composed of nickel (Ni) and phosphorus (P = 9 to 12%) by a self-catalytic process that allows to obtain an absolutely uniform layer which, moreover, is applicable in a manner very precise and without tip effect.
Chemical Nickel PTFE, treatment using chemical nickel, with inclusion of PTFE whose tribological characteristics are particularly improved while maintaining a high resistance to corrosion and wear.
EN SAVOIR PLUS
An alternative way to tackle the problem of wear and friction, by embedding a lubricant, PTFE, in the nickel-phosphorus combination.
The wear and friction properties of the layer are determined by the value of the properties of both materials.
Hardness and lubrication are obtained by nickel-phosphorus combination and the low coefficient of friction, the PTFE particles.
During the deposition process, the PTFE particles which have a diameter of 0.2 to 0.3 microns, are deposited uniformly in the nickel-phosphorus in a proportion of +/- 30%.
