Composite base PTFE

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a fluoropolymer derived from tetrafluoroethylene. It has outstanding resistance to most chemicals, it has an extremely low friction coefficient and remains stable at high temperature.

EN SAVOIR PLUS

The process of PTFE

We make sandblasting the surface prior to coating to create tiny micro-scratches. Then, a primary layer of Teflon that is thin enough to flow in the micro-scratches is sprayed. The surface is then baked at high temperature (380 ° C) to create a secure grip. Finally, the Teflon is applied and baked again. This creates a strong enough grip to scratches.

The process of Slidcoat II

The Slidcoat II is composed of a tungsten carbide-based matrix in which a PTFE film fills cavitations carbide. It being extremely hard and resistant to shock, it will increase the life of the PTFE by x10 or x20.
