Silcar® is a composite metal coating based on silicon and Carbide powders. Carbide is sprayed under high pressure at supersonic speed. This very hard and dense layer has a large tensile strength and provides increased resistance to severe stresses by abrasion or mechanical wear. The addition of silicone particles in the process provides an excellent anti-tack. This composite coating is Silcar among others the appropriate response to the release of molds contacting adhesive agents.
